The Grand Tour was a long trip undertaken by young European aristocrats and members of the intellectual elite, Italy being the most cherished destination. The aim of the trip was to enhance the sensitivity of the traveler through the introduction to cultural heritage, such as the arts and history of the “Bel Paese”.
Designer Gupica has created a unique concept for Mutaforma, inspired by her experience and architectural elements from her trips across the most beautiful Italian cities. The glass mosaic pattern becomes a cultural and sensory experience narrated through the light, by using a cutting-edge material.
TILLA®, the world’s smallest glass tessera, made possible for the Italian designer Gupica to conceive a collection of variable geometries, ranging from large landscape views to tiny antique decoration patterns for the decoration of walls and floors.
